Feathered Bandeau

Join us for a creative one-day workshop where you’ll design and create your own feather-covered bandeau headband - the perfect statement accessory for a holiday party or special event.

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to create and shape a bandeau base using Fosshape, a thermoplastic material commonly used in theater and costume design and as an alternative to buckram in millinery. Once the base is shaped, you’ll learn how to add wire and insert a lining to create a comfortable, finished foundation.

In the afternoon, we’ll focus on the finishing details. You’ll learn how to cut and shape goose nagoire feathers and use them to cover your bandeau base. You’ll then complete your headband by carefully attaching the feathers to create a beautiful, wearable accessory.

This small-group workshop is perfect for anyone interested in millinery, costume design, or simply trying something new and creative. Basic hand-sewing skills are helpful but not required.
