Fur Felt Workshop

In this two-day workshop, students will learn to block and finish out a fur felt hat. Students  have the option to block a classic fedora, cloche, brimmed hat, bucket hat, fascinator, etc. We will be working with velour medium weight fur felt and using classic millinery techniques to create our hats.

On Friday evening, Students will learn to block their fur felt hat body over one of our vintage wood blocks. Saturday the class will learn a variety of brim finishes, along with creating a grosgrain sweatband and adding decorative trim to their hats.

This class is appropriate for first time students and continuing students who would like to further their millinery skills. Hand sewing skills recommended but not required. Students need to purchase their own hat body for the class, additional information on ordering will be provided upon registration. 

Workshop will be Friday, January 31st from 5:00 -8:00pm and Saturday, February 1st from 10:00 to 5:00pm.

There will be a one hour lunch break on Saturday.
